Viewing details of an asset

When you click on an asset on the map or in the left panel, you will see a quick view of the asset that include:

ClosedAsset Description, Address and Icon
  • You can edit the asset description by clicking on the pen icon, .
ClosedStatus, Direction and Speed

The table below shows the different status icons:

Status Details

Online

 There is ongoing communication with the in-vehicle device and the asset in motion

Offline

 The asset is offline or out of cellular range or the in-vehicle device has not been installed yet

Parked

 The asset's ignition is turned off

GPS Invalid

 There is an ongoing communication with the in-vehicle device but the device's GPS is disabled

Idling

 The asset's engine is running but not in motion

Crash Reported

 The asset has encountered a crash which triggered the in-vehicle device

Panic

 The panic button has been pressed and the alert is triggered

Satellite Failover

 The asset is out of cellular range and has initiated Satellite communication
ClosedView Full Details

It consists of:

ClosedGeneral Tab

It contains the following information:

  • Asset Description
  • Asset Type
  • Resource Name
  • Speed (units are based on user preferences)
  • Status of the Asset
  • Direction in which the asset is travelling (represented with the arrow icon in the appropriate direction): N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE, SW.
  • Last known address
  • All Custom fields
  • Time Stamp of the asset's last update
  • MIL Light Status.
ClosedSensors Tab

This tab allows you to see the asset's sensors states and / or values. You would not see this tab if there is no sensor data associated to the asset.

ClosedToolbar

The following functions are available:

Functions Icons Description
Zoom To centers and zooms in on an asset's location on the map
Trip Replay plays back in details the journey of an asset for a given time period traced on the map
Follow in new window allows an individual to be tracked in a separate window
More

contains the following additional options:

If the asset encountered a crash, you see the following two options:
