Deleting an Asset Type

In order to delete an Asset Type, there should not be any assets associated with it meaning that the number of assets in that category should be zero (0).

 Note: If you have assets associated with the Asset Type, you will presented with an error message that will prevent you from deleting the Asset Type.

To delete a Asset Type:

1. Go to Configuration > Assets > Asset Types

2. The Asset Types screen displays
3. Select the Asset Type to be deleted
4. Click Delete
5. A prompt appears asking you to confirm the deletion
   • If you choose Delete, the Asset Type will be removed permanently from the list of Asset Types
   • If you choose Cancel, the prompt will disappear and you will be back to the selected Asset Type details screen.
6. Click Delete.
