Mechanic

The Mechanic tab contains all the defects that the driver logs in while performing an inspection of their assets. The mechanic uses the Mechanic portal to view, assess and close any defects.

Once you click on the Mechanic tab, it:

• Lists all the assets in alphabetical order and categorized as Major and Minor defects
• Clicking on an asset will display the defects associated including
  • Defect description
  • Inspector name (Resource who completed the report)
  • Date & Time (when the report was completed)
  • Location (where the report was completed)
  • Odometer (it is the reading at the time the report was completed), and
  • Remark (any comments that the driver provided).
• The defects are listed by date and time of completion with the newest at the top of the list and by severity (Major defects will be listed first followed by minor defects).
• To give access to mechanics, you need to:
  • create their user accounts to give them access to the application
    • The mechanic will receive an email and temporary password.
  • set them up as Resources
    • Under Applications, select Mechanics Portal.
